Cook at home - Lettuce Wraps
You're turn to prepare dinner but don't know what to cook?
I will share with you one of my favorite dishes....its fairly quick and easy too.
We call this dish "Lettuce Wraps"
Cut these vegetables into thin strips. This way of cutting anything is called julienne.
You can use any type of lettuce that is preferred....I went with a regular head of lettuce from the grocery store for like 0.88$.
Remove all the gross leaves from the outside of the lettuce head.
Peal the leaves off carefully...you are trying to make 'cups' out of the lettuce.
Remember to wash the lettuce before use.
Allow the meat to brown.
Add the vegetables. Carrots first, then green peppers and then whatever else.
Add in the Hoisin sauce.
| Finished Lettuce Wrap |
Cooking at home has so many benefits. When you combine smart shopping with local farmers markets everyone wins. Excellent for dinner or even appetizers for friends and family.

Laundry Room Update
We have finally made some progress on our upstairs laundry room. Most of all of this work has been done by the homeowners, namely us. Our lives have been so hectic with our upstairs in a demolition zone. Many important things have been learned from this experience. Mostly the need to have the patience to do a good job

Lets start at the beginning
| First House |
We moved in together
We bought a house
....and now we need to fix it up
Lessons to learn,
If you dont like your real estate agent I suggest you get a new one.
Find a local bank in the area, they usually give better deals.Find a local contractor
(We got lucky and moved in next to one)
Get the home inspected yourself if you are buying a property from a relocation company
....dont buy a house from a relocation company
And be prepared to work...
